I think a 55gal is just to big for dime-nickel sized rbp,bet they lost in there! Try bloodworms, or dice up some krill, or buy some feeder guppies to jump start them.I would buy a 15gal long to put them in for a month, let em get lil size before the bigger tank. GL

Welcome to the forum.
Settling takes some time, just spend as much time as possible with them so they get used to you.
Don't worry about the not-eating, they can do without for a while and eventually they will be settled and start eating. can take from a couple of hours, up to a couple of weeks.

I have found leaving the tank lights off helps them feel a little more bold. I moved my reds to a bigger tank a week ago(no car ride, nothing but netted then into bigger tank) and they just started eating again yesterday.

There's no need to use stress coat more than once, just when they're new to the tank. Using more will foam up your water & make a big mess. If it's stress zyme, I wouldn't bother with it at all.

Have fun raising your new fish!

You should be feeding at least 3 times a day being that they're so small. Suk out any uneaten food after hour or so.kinda odd as I've never seen a rbp baby that wouldn't eat.I've set rbp babies on 7-8hour road trips n they always eat fine.how did you transport them bag?bucket? What's your water readings, water temp? Is it possible they are eating n you aren't noticing?

Be careful w/ flakes the can mess up your water, in=f the little guys do not eat them all and they stay in your tank.
