Pics are purely to show the fish that recently died on me after coming in with some ammonia burn it appeared to be recovering well but i foolishly moved it too early and the acclimatizing must have been wrong as after 5 days of irregular breathing it died. From Peru but not the Nannay i know that much but an adjacent river . Id never seen one like it before..completely proper black, not black changing to light and it had gold sparkling scales on the flanks. A massive head as well nearly twice as big as on another fish i have only an inch shorter.

What can you say about the irregular sized teeth or reason for on the upper jaw?

What was chewin on him? Sorry to hear Locust, he was impressive to say the least. First time
i have seen upper dental work like that, looks like the irregular teeth had his jaw set off from bottom
to top,..with teeth like that he would likely have had to chew more than a normal set of teeth allowing
them to just cut like scissors,..did you happen to get any vids of this guy?

Are it just the front ones that are smaller ? Normally the two front ones are smaller, locking into the lower mandible.
The third one on the upperjaw is probably a replacement teeth.

Was ammonia burn from shipping and delayed flight etc.
One eyes was completely missing the circle of flesh around it and the eye was sunken in with a "gap" between eye and socket..this healed very quickly tho.

Ammonia burn does affect the gills the most, and that can take a couple weeks to fully heal. While moving it may have been premature, the fish very well could've been on it's way out already.
